FPSC Classic Models and Media / importing models from 3ds max 5

i just ordered this program, and i am worried that i will not be able to use 3ds max for modelling.... is it possible to save 3ds max models as the formats needed in fpsc?

is there a plugin i need?...

The guy who made everything for FPSC, used 3DS Max to do it. Your models need to be in .X format.

As far as I know 3ds max, cannot export the direct X format that is compatible with FPSC. But, don't worry. Theres a 3ds to X convertor on these forums that can do the job for you. I'll have a look for it.

DBConv will be no good when you need to animate though.

check out the "Panda .X exporter" google it

dont bother, opposing force. i already found the converter in the forums. thanks for the offer though!

now my last question is: do i need a plugin for adobe photoshop 7.0 to convert textures into the proper format?

yes, Nvidia supplies a .dds texture exporter for photoshop, it also generates normal maps, search the nvidia website
