Hey guys

Just doing abit of something to add to my Portfolio. (Something abit more serious this time)

Am looking to create some cartoony-style vector mugshots of 4 people. Probably for use in avatars or profile pages, or whatever. I would need photo from the submiter, at aprox eye-level and with the head tilted no more then 20 degrees. (So almost, if not, staring right at the camera)

I can provide the final image in colour or line with transparancy. To get started, I made one of myself so you'd get an idea of the style.

I'd probably need a lineup with atleast one female mug just to break it up a little (As I'll be displaying these on my folio, a line of male geek faces would look quite creepy) So if any secret female members here who are actually would want one, now would be a good time to post, otherwise I'd ask someone in RL or just get a stock photo. (I would get all stock photos for all of them to begin with, but I wanted to do personal illustrations incase people wanted a unique avatar for themselves)

Thanks

P.S
This is a fairly brief project, so I don't expect to take all week with it.

Edit: In regards to OddMind on MSN, anyone can submit any kind of mug. So unshaven mess and all will do. You don't even have to be a handsome cat devil to submit one.

The facial expression would be fun to draw. Thanks.

*Adds it to list*

I'd say that kind of angle is the norm. I would want all the mugs to look consistant, so not something like one mug looking straight ahead and another with his/her head turned 45 degrees looking at something else.

Also, I probably won't be able to draw EVERYONE but post anyway and I'll see what I can do.

It's not really a first-come-first-served system, more like "Hey this one would be quite interesting to draw".

No worries

If it helps, I have a higher-res version of the image, but it contains alot of artifacts from the camera's JPEG compression...

I'm sorry Oddguy, but it states in Megatron's contract, explicitly, that he cannot 'cartoonerize' emo people.

If you have more time, here's mine from when I was sleep deprived and stressed. My wife has the camera with her in China now, so I can't take anything new

Hey, I call people emo based on how they look. Not what they write or the type of music they listen to. That's just shallow.

Nice work. Score 1 for the geeks. Always annoys me when computer professionals are required to "settle" with swamp donkeys. Of course, my (as of the Friday just gone) wife is another exception to this geek/swampdonkey rule.

I thought all the pictures of them together or making out or whatever was plainly obvious.

I mean, you can definatly rule out "Sister, friend, aunt, mom"...

This is perhaps going to make a bad situation worse, but I didn't actually look through the rest of the photos. Just kinda clicked on one and saw all I needed to see... erm...

That's just what he gets for being a cool guy. It doesn't matter what your profession is. If you're an introverted basement troll, you'll get nothing but what you put into. So, until a majority of geeks are no longer swamp donkeys themselves, score 1 for the Nicholas Thompson.

If I were Nick, I would be quite concerned why a bunch of people I've never met were going through my girlfriends photoalbum... seems a *bit* strange to me, anyway.

Maybe make the chin a little more defined (slightly pointier as I have a fairly well defined jawline).

I'll get to more of them eventually, but I've done the 4 I need, so I been doing a few other things.

Also, there's a good chance I might not do everyone's either because of time managment issues, interest factors (I like to take on different angles) or I might just plain dislike the person and couldn't be bothered spending time drawing them.
