i have actually posted this in the FPSC chat area.But i thought this would be a more suitable place. I have got a bit further since that post but im still having trouble.

Basically, i need a script that will attach to an item like the WW2 dossier enity. So that when the player hits the "use" key a image will appear and the enity will dissappear. Then the user can press the "use" key again to make the image also dissappear.



This is what i have got so far (im only new to scripting), the image will appear on screen but the enity doesnt dissapear, neither does the image dissappear when i press enter again.
I really dont know if im placing the actions/conditions or the states incorrectly. any help would be appreciated.

Just a thought: have u spoken to Jiffy yet? what you are describing (from what I can tell) makes an appearance in his YouTube video for Project Luna... he might well know?

Okay, first, allways load images in state=0, avoids loading them again later.

Second, after the second colon ":" comes the actions (like hudfadeout or hudshow"

Third, "texturebank" is somewhere in the language bank, not in the files/texture bank (I believe)

Fourth, what is the associated for?

Fifth, this is a heads up display thingy, it won't appear INPLACE of the item. Setalphafade=100 should make it invisible

Ok i tried your script but the image loads as soon as I test the level and it wont dissappear when enter is pressed.
the assoicated was used as i was messing around with commands etc to see if i could get the player to pick up the enity (e.g) make it dissappear, which is what i need.

Mine isnt thats weird.
I appreciate the help, but it still wont work. (sorry if i have missunderstood your post)
