It's been asked a million and one times, and I know the answer up untill this point has been 'no' for a million and one good reasons which I really don't need spelt out again, BUT...

With Microsoft's recent announcement to open up the 360 to hobbyist users with a free/modified (not sure on the details) version of XNA will there finally be a DarkBASIC for consoles (well, just the 360)?

Plus you forget, with the new Blue-ray Disc out and the PS3 using that and such, You can't just pop a disc out of a PC or Mac and push it in a console.

DB for consoles? Nope. DB for 360? Possibly. But not the current version, only perhaps an offshoot of DB Vista.

Maybe they will just use thier connect software to download the data to your HD and you wont have to use a dvd burner if you dont want to.

For the PS you had RPGMAKER (FOr PSone) or was it PS2? hmmm...anyways.... in that game maker you could save it to your memory card then use the "game disc" insert your memory card and wala the disc that contains the game making software and your memory card = the way to play the game.

But im not sure if this was the exact way it worked, for i never tried RPGMaker for the console.

If this 360 hobbyist thing actually goes somewhere I wouldn't mind working on a BASIC variant for it myself. If TGC don't do it, because let's face it there's probably not a lot of money in that now, then there's bound to be others who will.
