This would have never been posted had it not been for the fact that amazon delayed my darkbasic professional until next week. I decided, since i had nothing else to do i would fix the bugs and stuff so now it should work on all computers. Included with it is full source and media so you can play around with it.

get it from this link:

hehe yeah i changed my mind about not making a website for a while since it was too tempting to make that one. All i have to do now is add a little darkbasic style scrollbar down the right hand side. Despite the fact that the dbc layout was completely iompractical and i have no idea what the creators were thinking at the time, its still legendary.

Cool the game works now Its pretty nice, lots of cool touches, like the weapons selector, the way the butterflies follow you, and the way you spin when hit

Personally I'd prefer Non dark matter models for this kinda game, but the actual programming of the game is quite impressive, and the games fun Nice work!

PS Yep Hideous but legendary

kangaroo: cheers i suck at modelling although i did make the egg

icfcfan: ive been using darkbasic since it began lol, well i think it was pretty new since the site was rather primitive. that was my 1st ever game tho because during that time there has been diablo ii, half life and warcraft 3 so i didnt do any long projects. ill add your link to my site in a second. my next objective is to get dbp and actually learn the complicated stuff to make the performance better. I have a joypad compatible version of eggdude for myself too quite sad really i play my own game.

it would be much better if the music wasnt so damn annoying and it ran at about 40 fps instead of 30, cos then it would be faster. Although its quite hard as it is so if it was faster that mite just be silly. You be the judge, dl it.

I guess that Lee was trying to make the editor look "kiddy" / "friendly". However, at the end of the day, writing a game requires at least a good GCSE or an A-Level in Maths to be able to do everything required, and anyone of that age should be able to cope with a normal programming environment.

lol he's on about the dbc layout. we were talking about my website above. Im gonna check it out on my broadband now, could have been a one off, if not then GAY!
<IGNORE>
(no offence, i dont mean to use gay in a derogitory gay, i understand 1/10 of the male population is gay, and i suppose as a sociaety we will have to live with it, including no longer using gay as an insult)
</IGNORE>
But yeah if needed it would be great if you could host, such a shame too, freewebs seemed so good.
