is it possible to create a script that will make an character entity play its fire animation constantly it's just that I would like to place an ally entity near a window so it would look like it was firing at an enemy I’m not asking anyone to make it just tell me which animation is the fire one I have been looking though the manual and cant seem to find it

Here you go, I didn't script this, I found it on the boards somwhere a while ago, just don't put entitys infront of it or it will not work.
(In other words you can't put an enemy directly infront of it)

I thought it to be the case and I may be mistaken here that there is no fire weapon animation as such as an enemy will always stop and go to idle before shooting and that the fireing is therefore controlled internally by the engine called by the "use weapon command".

I must admit I have never checked each and every frame of an FPSC enemy character to see if it has actual shoot animation frames set to any of the animatoion sequences.

Whats this I see look at the manual animation sets I see one numbered 57 called NEW climb - now thats a thought - just need a ladder now to go with it.

small fish,

Have you or can you check the animation sets to see if there are any shooting frames available - if they were you could just call those frames in script - of course if they dont exist then you as you say a little stuck unless you are able to add some suitable animation frames to your characters.

If it is so much work then why do you ask someone else to do it when you know how to do it? That is what i call lazy...

My site is now updated with info and a teaser about my game The Peacemakers. My blog is now ready and i have written my first contribution!

Check it out now!
