yes you can put your own icon. i havent seen any restriction so far. but the icon must be added by (how i do it) with an install creator program.

e.g: clickteam install creator.

not sure what a copyname is.

Does he mean the game .exe files icon? Because yes all windows computers allow you to change the icon.

Right click the desired program and select properties.
Click the button near the bottom the properties window that says "Change Icon"
Then it should show a few icons that come with the program but hit browse and go to the location of your created icon.

But i really don't know what you mean by company name in the .exe unless you set it in properties or in the program used for making the .exe, in this case FPSC. But product name is the easiest part because when you build game the program asks you what you want toname and do about the game you made. Plus again stuff like this all gets done in Properties

Well, "Change Icon" option does not exist in exe file, but in shortcut

well, so i cant change the company name, product name, File Version,Internal name, and others?

Yes, install creator pro is FREE. It is easy to use (wizard). And it makes uninstall program and packs very small file and it makes all what you want.

I don't are tested this 2.0:

you need an icon hacker to change the icon of the exe file, but most icon creation programs come with one, try googling "icon utils" or "ahasoft" and download the demo

That wont work with FPSC and DBP exe's.

you need a program the Winch ,made.only then it works.(DBP and FPSC exe's are no standard MS32 executables.theyr different and require tweaking.)

you can change,but running it will give errors.

thats what should happen with DBP and FPSC .exe's.

its just the harsh truth.

To my knowledge, no one has been able to change the icon or icon info successfully to date. If someone has, please post the game exe that actually works. Don't say it can be done if you haven't done it.

The Icon and information are coded into the game exe when the game is compiled. Any attempt to change the icon or icon info using a third party program changes the length of the information in the game exe and the game attempts to start in the wrong place.

While it may be possible to change the info and not change the length of the file, I don't know of anyone who has accomplished it. I have tried, but to no avail.

Some one please prove me wrong.

try the Resource Hacker (aka ResHacker) like Bluecristal Media and Johnny English said

some Requirements:

- the Icon hast to be in the .ico File Format
- it has to be 32x32 pixels, but you can use 16x16 and for big icons 48x48, but 32x32 is standard
tell me exactly how you did it, how do you wanted to change the icon with ResHacker?

What Jourdan and I are trying to tell you is, we can change the icon using any one of those programs you are mentioning, but then the game won't run.

YES, the icon can be changed.

NO, no one to my knowledge has got the game to run after they changed it.

Perhaps that is a little clearer. If someone has ACTUALLY DONE IT, please tell us how and provide a link to the game if possible. If not, please stop recommending programs to change the icon.

You most go in the folder 22 or 21 then follow all folders and at the and youy will see the icon :p
