I've read what I could find, and looks at the exsiting weapons, but my textures won't show on my gun

when I test or built a level/game I created the enity and textures were there and show in the FPSC level editor, I made a folder in gamecore\guns\blackout(my project name)\railpistol(my new gun)and

here is the .FPE

and the gunspec here

I'm very greatful for any help, THANK AGAIN---JABBER

Sorry I may not have explained this well, plus looks like this post could use a bump soon,
I used the "make enities from X files" and the textures were there for the snap shot. The textures show on the model in the FPSC editor itself, but when you test or build the level the gun is there and wooks just fine expect it has no texture,
It seems strange to have needed to copy the gun's texture to two locations in the FPSC DIR, in the enitybank and the gamecore? I'm guessing the proplem stems from my folder struture or the .fpe and gunspec files, but I've been playing with them for days and no change. Serisously I'm stumped, anything ideas would be a great help,

THANKS

in a game the texture must be in the "Texture Bank" or Entitybank...

I have the changed the texture names to "gun_D2.tga", and even went back and re-exported out of MAX with PANDAX as Binary with compression .X, with the new texture name assigned to the map. I made an .fpe with the entities from.X files tool, noted that it looks for the generated .DDS file in the gamecore\guns\blackout\railpistol DIR. Looking at the other guns, I've pasted a copy of "gun_D2.tga" in gamecore\guns\blackout\railpistol\ .
Still no change

here are some screenies to help describe what's happening.

in the editor just fine-

in the game no textures-

pickup the gun so I know it finding the "gunspec" file just the textures there-

I've posted the gun, I'd be very greatful if anyone could take the time to check it out.

Hold on, now I'm just shocked!

Once I worked out the model postion for the HUD.X the textures are on the gun when it's in hand!
so it just doesn't have a texture when it's an entity!?
The one thing I thought I had understood well was how create an entity!
So now the question is why no texture only while it's an unused entity, did something conflict with the textures in the gamecore DIR?

I'm sorry Accel Leon keep away the gamecoreguns? I'm not sure what you mean.
delete the link for texturing in the .FPE?
because it's still untextured till you pick it up.
Thanks Accel Leon

That's right, I just model the object from the correct Orientation from the begining in MAX, that way HUD and VWEAP are nice and clean,
I've posted the lastest version here-
with the current HUD.X
and .FPE---->

Thanks though that Orientation took some trial and error
I'm glad that I have the weapon working in hand, Just seeing the gun in game boucing there with no textures is starting to make my head hurt,

Thanks for your time Leon,

just to double check FPSC handles 24 bit.tga textures with or without an alpha layer then the DB engine creates a scaled texture file in .DDS which it uses no matter what you tell it in the end. right? I think I'm going crazy

No one sees the problem? maybe I should just start over it's a very basic model and texture anyway. Is any weapon creator out there using the "make entities from X files" app. ? thanks guys
