Project "Black Out" is my first few weeks with FPSC, There was no project concept when I started, I was just trying to learn FPSC, as more was added I just couldn't allow myself to delete it, sooo Black Out Beta 1.02 is posted here---

http://files.filefront.com/Black_Out_Beta_V_102zip/;5447721;;/fileinfo.html

There are many bugs, A couple of low FPS spots (at least on my machine)

Whatever you do don't shoot out the glass in the windows to the reactor!

Hope you have as much fun playing it as I am making it.

It's my only custom script in the game right now Accel Leon,
if the glass breaks the radation kills you, It needs improvement,But one issue at a time, the gun textures only appearing when the weapon is in hand is my top priority right now,
Black Out is not ground breaking, one custom script, a few small custom enitities and one 6 story Dark matter reactor.
But I'm getting ALOT of custom media and a concept written for a new project, this Black Out was a great learning experience.
Suggestions are very welcomed, Thanks for taking the time to check it out,

JABBER,

Greetings. Pretty good, especially for a first attempt. I'd rate it a solid 6 as a demo. The weapon needs some work. The enemies don't deliver, but that's not your fault.

The AI is clumsy and easily defeated, but that has come to be expected from the canned stock scripts. Some of the enemies fade upon death, others remain. Uniformity would be good here, especially at the staircases.

Playability is good. I had a couple of "where the hell?" moments. That's a nice thing. Noone wants a cakewalk. Had to backtrack and look around.

Some good creativity was implemented. I liked the barricaded room. Clever.

I don't know if game voiceover work is in your future, but I thought you did a fine job.

What's the deal with the dynamic coffee cups? I was wondering about that as I played. (LOL) No biggie, but they should probably be omitted or made static to improve framerate.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks,

Seth Black

Thanks guys.
Seth Black is right, the AI and anything using a stock script needs alot of work. But that is next on my list of FPSC "lessons". that and actualy finishing the 3D/2D.
Thanks for taking the time to DL and check out a noob's game.
