Hello everyone,

I would like to announce the making and nearly completion of my forst larger contribution to the DBPro community with this Advanced Terrain Builder and Editor.

First of all, I would like to ask Zotoaster and Lukas W the permission to include in my program their GUI system and FileSelector. They would be a good help.

It is based on heightmap drawing realtime (paint application), and it will more or less feature:

-Texture and Detail adding
-Export to .X and .DBO format, or heightmap as .BMP
-4 or more effects such as NOISE, BLUR, RAISE ALL, LOWER ALL, MIRROR, FADE
-3D preview
-mp3 playing with id3 tags (while working not to get bored)
-load existing heightmap

Screenshots to come if you are interested.

Well, I usually need screenshots to get interested in a program...

Did you do more work on that terrain builder you entered in one of the coding challenges? It was very easy to use and it would be good to see it developed.

I'm working on a new one...
Using blueGUI, but don't tell, it's a secret!

I guess it doesn't hurt to tell... But don't expect it too soon.

hold that thought. i am actually rewriting the file browser.
eventually it will support:
* simulation of my computer
* make dir
* rename dir/file
* load / save / ok - button (three totally different modules)
* hopefully a scrollbox that "have a scaleable box" and not just two arrows
* icons for images, dba/dbpro, exe, bat (and other common file formats)
* all in a "no media reqired open source package"
* i also need to write a program that takes an image and convert it to db code (like "ink rgb(r,g,b) : dot x,y")
* i forgot to mention that it will be included in a gui system i am currently working on

but it wont be done for another month or so, so go ahead and use that filebrowser, but it's pretty much outdated and was originally written for dbc, so it have a few bugs in it when running in dbpro)

Thank you!

I will not be working on the project for 2 weeks or so, because I have exams...
I will post screenshots then, and maybe a beta version of the program in three weeks.

I'm almost finished making a newer/better one. Should be out soon.

And uses a proper windows browser window because I can't be bothered coding my own
