Help im a n00b !! Is there a way to get .mdl [I think there the ones from HL1] files into a format Fpsc recognises

if so could somebody please send me a link to a program or better still if someone would be kindenough to help a noob in need could they do it for me

search the forums for "converter" theres loads of hem, but u might need to download several to convert it to .x and then u use entity maker or ecs lite to convert it to fpsc

i don't think it's possible, i read one time somewhere here that .mdl files dont have "bones" or something like that and weren't compatible, but i don't know.

doesn't that just allow you to uv map it, not convert the model???

its a lengthy process that can be done useing milkshape3d. you import the refernce .smd, then import the animation smd's and have them imported at the end of the last animation. then save as an Ms3d file then export as a .x

can it compile multiple animations into one? See a halflife .mdl is a compressed format that when uncompressed had a reference(body) .smd and a huge amount of motion .smd's. Milkshape was created for halflife models and then expanded as a full fledged modeler. The halflife .mdl is not the same as an A6 .mdl wich is more like a .x or to be more accurate a .md2
