I've got my 6 plains, all positioned correctly, rotated into place, and textured.

How do I "glue" these together. I've been trying to use limbs, but the manual keeps referring to meshes rather than objects. I have never used meshes.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance.

See the attached code (click the Source button). It's in the DBPro Tutorial 5 (Boxes) but I don't see why it won't work with DB.

It makes a sphere, places the limbs around it to form a box and textures them. You can change the texture command for a colour to test it with.

Cheers,

Rich

Ok here's another version where all the edges join up properly. It was written in DB Classic (some time ago) so I know will work for you. Just replace the texture lines. Again, click the source button to see it.

Cheers,

Thanks Rich,

it's good to know I was thinking along the right lines. I just didn't quite make the transition to meshes, and having a dummy 3D object to attach the sides to.

I suppose this is called "thinking outside the box!". No, terrible joke, should have resisted.

Thanks in advance.

its a good idea and could the basis for a 3d rubics cube snippet if u kept breaking down each face into extra cubes.

rotation and offset could be animated then
