It reminds me of the characters in the claymation short film called "MORE" (http://www.happyproduct.com/more1.html). I wouldn't really use it in a game. But it might work for a cartoon game.

read my other thread he is so you can texture him any way you want and so you can have a ton of him onscreen because hes only 496 POLYS and i think he'll animate well so making a character that low poly has to count for something

oh i get the newb thing i just wanted to express this is only my 4th model and the first 3 were really bad well the 3rd wasnt that bad but hes so simple bc hes only 496 polys you have to understand most models for fpsc are 2000 so take that into account

Hello Cut scenes,

I would recommend that on any model you make that you practice UV Mapping and Texturing, that is the best way for you to learn, get decent at, and improve your skills at. The more you do things like UV Mapping, Modelling, and Texturing, the better you are going to get. So yes, it would be a good guy to learn to UV Map on.

ok look the reason i was going to post him untextured is cause a 496 poly gut is a one of a kind gut weither or not hes good i dont know if somebodys going to make a gut this low poly so i figured id let the downloadee customise him but if the but if im going to learn to texture im going to texture him likea zombie
EDIT i dont mean to say im better by making a low poly guy i just mean his kind will probably be rare

Hello Cut scenes,

Practice makes perfect; so I bid you good luck in that. While doing those, do take your time, if you rush you will only make mistakes which could turn out fatal and in the worst case scenario, could mean you have to redo some things. So, good luck with the UV Mapping, Texturing, Rigging, and Animating!

That model wont animate well man. I'm taking it your using your dads software and having him show you some things from your above post. Have him walk you though this tutorial on character modeling, or try it on your own. But if you tried to animate that because theres so few poly columns when his elbow bent his forearm and bicept texture would streach leaving really bad animations.

Good Luck

actually he'd be lower poly but i added extra edge loops around the arms and legs so he'll be ok in a game just not for anything that requires torso or head movement i do use my dads software but im self taught texturing is just my dads area of expertise is texturing so i figured i ask him
and also i did emphasise shape it's just that hes so low poly that he looks like a box

if not then say it and i might be able to cut polys on the hands and add more to the arms/legs

Help with what?.....Theres no way on Gods green earth that will ever animate.....Start over from a Tutorial online or in the 3dmax folders. No ones going to help you with something thats never going to make it to a game other then a door stop.

Sorry man....you need more practice modeling before texturing is a concern.

Its the way his neck meets up with his shoulder that is wrong. It is too curvy, and also, his head his too far from his shoulders making his neck huge. I think you should probably find a tutorial, then evolve that with your own style
