So they finally added Chocobo Breeding? Took em long enough. Watch that a hungry galka doesn't find it, you won't have one after that.

meh, i dont like FFXI much... their style of GUI is pretty good, but the gameplay: they took away almost all aspects of PvP(except for Ballista, which sucks...) and a lot of the game practically requires i party of a ton of people to accomplish anything(in which case you have to wait for like an hour just to get people in the party).

so, in that case... im hungry...

I used to play as Avelyn on Lakshmi, in linkshells Kapoks and Benevolence. Was a Rank 8 Bastokan Hume, MNK66/RDM52/WAR37/WHM26/NIN20, Cooking 97/Fishing 20ish when I quit. It was a really fun game, though it took too much time to do everything, and solo'ing was rarely an option to gain much exp.

Still got some pics of my first HNM(?) fight uploaded on my website. A friend of mine (Ardan, DRG70/SMN50ish/WAR37/THF37 last I checked) was on his way back to Jeuno through Batallia Downs, and he encountered the Willow NM on his way back with his SMN. He told the linkshell, and everyone exploded and told him to claim it. I rushed out of my mog house in the middle of a crafting run, wearing nothing but my AF and my TM Hooks +2 to help him survive.

I got there and killed the tree solo, and then Lumberjack spawned, and I was hoping I could claim it and kite it until the higher level members of the LS could come.

I was never torn apart so quickly by something that didn't kill itself in an attempt to kill me. Viva Stonega IV! Some JP WAR74/NIN37 Gilseller claimed it after, solo, and was killed while I HP'd and rushed back to Jeuno from Bastok, demanding Ardan go out and kite the thing until everyone was gathered.

In the end, a high level DRK, RDM, WHM, and BRD from the LS arrived and helped Ardan and I kill the thing (read: Saved our asses). No Bloodsword though. But after that we got the rest of the LS to help us camp the thing. Over the next three nights we camped and fought Lumberjack twice out of three spawns (a BST75 duo claimed it the third time).

Here are the pics from the second claim and fight. Lumberjack's Stonega IV tore me up again in the middle of it :s

hehe puny chi blast, didnt have time to grab your MND gear eh?

Either way go MNK! I'm a MNK myself.

Damn how much was your AH tax on that? Quite a fortune in itself i bet.

Gavian had a Glut on him right? I cant see it that well in the pictures.

Nah, didn't really focus on much MND gear, in my experience using a high powered chi blast in anything other than HNM/God fights was more trouble than it was worth, especially with the hate conflict it made.

Especially with NIN, pissed off many a NIN with a chi blast with a few boosts behind it. PLD <3

Cooking didn't really make enough profit over time to warrant wasting gil on +MND gear anyway. I wasn't in an HNM/God's LS yet (Benevolence was just a social LS), so there was really no need to invest much in it. I mean, I could have, I could make a mil in a day with cooking if I wanted to, but that's with sixteen hours of crafting and AH Camping, but most of the time the profit could just allow me to afford whatever stuff I couldn't make myself.

Speaking of crafting, do gilsellers still inflate the AH to kingdom come for sushi and what not?

As for the bloodsword, the AH tax couldn't have been greater than 75k for the bloodsword I would think, highest I ever put up was an Astral Ring for close to 2 Mil, was about 50k. Didn't really matter though, everyone got 437,500 Gil for our effort (half of us offered to donate our share to the LS Bank), and the BLM who put the sword up on the AH did KSNM30 runs close to weekly, so he never had money problems.

And at the time, yes Gavian had a Glutonny Sword, not sure what he has now, or if he even still plays, deleted my account last May, all I really still had fun doing on that game was CoP missions and soloing as MNK/RDM or RDM/(WHM/NIN), and because of it a friend suggested I quit. That's what I did, and the only thing I regret is missing all of the people I met on the game :/

So, how's Aht Urgan for your two? Is it worth the hype so far? And have BLU, PUP, and COR have cookie cutter roles assigned to them by the playerbase yet like every other job?

I just realised what that freak chicken reminded me of. Basically a chinese snack (like a burger or hot dog) that is really popular. Basically a boiled duck egg. With duck inside. Think it is called Balut or somesuch.

I've got to eat now. Appetite not so much now for some reason.... Honestly, I think somehow that I prefer the un-piggy shaped hot dog or un-cow shaped beef burgers....

Saw a program once where this bloke was picking a beak, foot, and feathers out of his mouth afterwards. Basically he didn't like to crunch down..... luckily he didn't get a half attached eyeball like the other bloke.... gag....

Ditto and I clicked on your link...luckily I haven't eaten much today so nothing can put me off eating

What some people see as a good food is strange, I thought the French were strange for eating snails, now the Chinese make have something worse...I think I'll stick with the Chow Mein and Prawn Crackers.

Do a search. That image is not a bad example.

Luckily I am a total carnivore and it didn't put me off. Slightly off putting after eating though and now looking at the picture puts me off anything with egg in. Or duck...

Sorry but british food is internationally known for it's badness. I like snails, they taste like nushrooms.

I ate an eyeball once at some japonize restaurant. They taste gooey, except for a little hard bit in the middle. It acctually gave me food poisoning.

There's nothing wrong with our food, I love British food.
Give me fish and chips over snails and frogs legs any day of the week!

True. Although we adopted (see invaded and stole culture, then changed to our tastes) Indian food and that serves well. I heard somewhere that a Vindaloo or some other Indian dish is now the UK's no.1 eaten dish when at a restaurant (although no competition in some places; at one time in the town I live we had about 20 Indian restaurants and about 3 others).

And you can have your boiled duck fetus while I chomp down on my english fried breakfast thanks very much

That doesn't alter the fact that I prefer fish 'n' chips, nor does it alter the fact that I love good old British food.

Also where did you get that info from? as far as I know the main eaters of frogs legs are Chinese and the French, but I may be wrong!

When you talk about spotted dick and haggis, yes. To me British food is the sort that is roast with yorkshire puddings, or if you're more posh than that, have a cripsy aromatic duck, or asparagus wrapped in parmaham...or in very few places you can eat a swan. Or just as dazzag said, fish and chips. Nothing strange about that to me...or if you're welsh...a cheeze toasty

I do prefer mine medium-raw, with a side of baked taru and steamed San d'Oria Carrots, and I like to wash them down with a nice, large glass of Yagudo Drink. You wouldn't believe just how sweet Taru taste after you cook em.

The ATK and MP Bonus for said meal is superb though, a shame that not many taru are willing to donate their flabby midget selves for the rest of us to eat.
