Hello, well I'm French and I'm working on an Homeworld-like since 3 years. Coding with DarkBasic Pro is just a hobby for me then, you know, this project go ahead slowly
Here's some screenshot of my project. My little game will be a Space RTS with a big Homeworld style, and Starmageddon+ORB too.
Sorry for the ugly graphics but I'm not an artist !
The future demo will run on a powered PC ,if not the fps strongly falls

Darkbasic is great !

Well, I'd like to see it, but you have to upload your screenshots. We can't see them from your hard drive. Upload them to photobucket or something like that. Good luck on your project, looking forward to seeing it.

That looks like a great start! Don't worry about the graphics yet, there is always time to fix that. The GUI looks nice and easy to use.

Very interesting, Homeworld is my favorite game!! I like the screen, and the models are good. Are you talking about the textures? Because they look like they could use some work, but as Xander said, there's always time to improove them later.

ya, as zander said, you have a pretty good GUI. and the graphics are top notch for a hobbist programmer! keep up the good work. i also like the designs you use for the ships and stations and stuff....

Thanks for your comments. Well, the models MotherShip, StarBase and StarStation are not mine, I took them over the net. It's just to test my code. The 3D Engine is quasi-finished, and the thing which took me the most time to perfect is the camera routine... I have now to put more ships and write a scenario. A lot of details have to be done before. It's a long way but I want to make a good game with the limits of my experience and competence. Hers's more screenshot.
Question : How do you put several screenshots visible on one post ?
Thanks.

Darkbasic is great !

The best thing to do is to find a place to upload them free like photobucket.com, and copy the url. then you click the image button at the top of the message editing box, and paste the url into it... or just type yourself.

Just curious, but how much of the battle system is done? can you show pics of it? And do you have some sort of story for this yet? That was one of the really cool things about Homeworld… the awesome story.

Oh yes, do have some way of managing research and ship construction yet? And what do you have in mind for recourse collection?

Very impressive...
Awaiting for a demo to try it!

Nice screenshots! Looks good to me, your modeling is fine enough.

I'm working on a high res photorealistic texture pack. High res as in 7 megapixels, e-mail me with suggestions.
