Hi all,

Here are a few screen shots of a Work In Progress model being built in Google SketchUp (the FREE version) by "Flashing Snall". It's called "Blood House". The screen captures here show the model after it was exported from Google SketchUp to a KMZ archive, the files were extracted, and the model was then imported directly into DBPro with my SketchUp Model Importer Plug-In.

Enjoy! Better yet: comment, even...

[7] Looking in through that cool window - nice transparency!

Very nice!

Will this be used for the FPS that I am creating to showcase?

Would be perfect theme!

@Xeoncythe, @Flashing

There are 3 beta testers... you guys are two of them. If you want to collaborate that would be fine with me.

To my beta testers: I am starting work on some revisions to the plug-in that I hope will make collision detection and the creation of moveable geometry easier. I'll be working on this over the Labor Day weekend and hope to have an update to you all by next week sometime.

Thanks for all your efforts so far!

Xenocythe: I wouldnt mind goving you my map, but i would perfer if You didnt have it for a couple of reasons, some personal, some proffesional. 1) i want to show my friends this game and say i made it 2) It would probly be better to have more showcase items for PITA`s plug in. But i can give it to you if you want it a lot.

Well, the only problem I have with the Simple FPS demomstration is I don't have any models (such as buldings and levels) to use that demonstrate the plugin. It seems like you have a very good concept of Sketchup, so maybe you can create a level for the FPS too? I understand why you aren't all that intterested in letting me use the Blood House.

Good luck,
-Xeno

@Accel Leon

Of course you are one of the beta testers! I was only respondng to the 2 who had posted at that very instant.

@All my beta testers,

If you want models, go here:

http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/

Tons and tons, all free. Take one and use it as a starting point... use it as-is to get your code running... whatever you like. I read the Terms of Service, as far as I can tell we can use these models without worries.

Is the fps capped at 30? If so, what sort of fps do you get for that blood house?
Also, I don't know if I'd pay for that, although it does sound really cool
But then, I rarely spend money on stuff. The only software I have baught is DBC+DBP everything else is free or I got it from somebody for free

@Diggsey,

Yes, I have a SYNC RATE 30 in there. Not sure how fast it will run without that - I will have to try it and let you know. If you look at my other post you will see some 200+ FPS rates, but those are also very simple models.

@Accel Leon,

Did you send me an e-mail that I failed to reply to? I don't recall that, but if I did, I apologize. I value all my beta testers equally - it's just that "flashing" was the first to send back anything so I thought I would put it up for all to see.

the low res/single colour textures remind me of runescape.
