It is worth mentioning that the 1.01 release is NOT the same as the re-compiled source code. There are additional fixes in there too. If you don't know what I'm talking about, fear not, and just install the upgrade anyway!

Hey, check out the link for Model Pack 3, http://www.fpscreator.com/pack3.html, does that cardboard box in the lower right say what I think it says?

Seems like a sweet pack though!

No (see attached), although at that size I can appreciate why you thought it did

Cheers,

FINALLY....stairs with railing Nice looking pack; it would make a nice prize. I like the lighting and shadows all around, this one's going to be pretty popular.

You should subscribe to the free newsletter (or be the last to know all the cool stuff!).

Hint: check out the downloads page on the FPSC site.

I am buying Pack #4 tommorow for sure. I'm not sure about Pack #3 yet. It says over 500 things are included, but you can only see about a dozen in the picture.

What format are the models in.
Are they usable in something other that FPSCreator?

Thanks!

Hmmm... Where can I find roads, houses and cars? I'd like that for a game I have in mind. Cheers!

I bought Model Pack 3 and installed it. In the editor I see entities such as shelves with textures, but when I test the level or build the game they are all white - no textures. Why the difference in the editor and running? What did I do wrong?

I bought both model packs.

Model pack 4.

I have to say I found this dissapointing. Don't get me wrong, there are ALOT of very nice entities in there, the stairs with railings, and the fuse boxes to name but a few, but over all I felt there was alot of repetition in the pack (red gantries, blues gantries, identical models, hue just adjusted to make it blue).

SO overall I think this pack is more for the less adventurous developer. If you're doing your own retextures of stuff and making models already, then the pack will still be beneficial (the new door selection is stunning), as there are alot of cool entities in there, but at the same time, there are ALOT of crates, and ALOT of planks (just a poly cube),so you may be dissapointed.

7/10 You'll probably only use a third of what's in the pack.

Model pack 4.

I was excited about this pack. New realms of characters (needless to say, already done 3 re-textures of the zombies to make zombie FOTF marines...)

Model pack 4 is quite an achievement for 1 modeller. The custom animations are really hot, especially the new zombie walks etc. I personally felt that bond spent too long advertising the 2 babes in his pack, because there were a few entities in there that were a little surprise.

I have only one criticisms: the fat zombies' lurch attack. For me it felt too floppy. like he was tripping over. I see what bond was trying to achieve. If the character kept moving in a charge towards the player it'd look fine, but with the way it stops at the moment, it kinda looks like he's dancing.

As a side note, the UV's are layed out beautifully. Retexture jobs are a breeze!

8/10

It's a good pack, and there are lots of new people to mess with, but some of the characters (horny nurse for example) I wonder when I'm ever gonna use.

----

Nice work TGC. Mission accomplished.

Thanks Butterfingers. Although you refer to both packs as Model Pack 4, when I first read the beginning of your post I about had a heart attack!

Glad you like it overall, yes some of the characters are very specific like the nurse, but if you're making a game set in a hospital (or even a prison) then it would be indispensible! I just tried to include a little bit of something for everybody.

Okay, if there's a bonus, Model Pack 4 might just be worth overdrawing my account for! Well...barring any unusual bills I have to pay.
