Nice twist. Without it, the strip is nothing.

This time, I find this quite dumb. Of course it shows how dumb people are when they want to make a game, but have no work to back it up.

Yep, scary isn't it? If only game makers didn't need to print CD-ROM's, advertize and you know, sell games. Would make life so much better! Just look at what GameTek did to Elite III: Frontier 2, First Encounters...

I lay upon my bed one bright clear night, and gazed upon the distant stars far above, then I thought... where the hell is my roof?

It is a great game, after you've got the lastest patch. But when the first version came out they managed to invent the first space trading game that listed loads of ships to buy... and you couldn't actually buy anyone them because it crashed the game! And remember, this was back in the when 14.4k modems where still considered fast! You couldn't just jump on the net and run an automatic patch download. They had to send out, on average, 5 floppy discs for every copy of Elite 3 they sold. And all because GameTEK decided they didn't want to wait any longer, so they started publishing the beta code without permission from Frontier Developements.

The ensuing legal battle between the two also prevented Elite 4 from being produced, leaving the market open to hardware style games.

I lay upon my bed one bright clear night, and gazed upon the distant stars far above, then I thought... where the hell is my roof?
