Or Stubbs the zombie.
OK so my PC seems to lock up whenever I try to play certain games, such as GTA San Sndreas or Stubbs The Zombie, my PC specs are over those that are required to play these games, even FEAR still works it just seems to be those 2, I haven't made any changes rcently in terms of hardware or settings; and my drivers are all up 2 date.
Please help, thanks.

The lockups usually can happen when your computer overheats, if you open the case and have a fan next to it the chances of lockups should greatly decrease.

Does it happen on start up or during the game? Have you tried updating your games? Have you tried checking for virus or spyware?

For stubbs the zombie, I think it crashes because of its lame copy protection which eats computers alive, but I think FEAR has the same copy protection so I dunno.

Posting your computer specs could help too.

Have you tried reinstalling the games? Could just be some corrupt data.

Thanks guys, just done a system scan and now it works (most times) I think it was something to do with me running two monitors from the same card, I unplugged one of them and it seems to work; but I dunno sometimes it still locks up.

I agree with Chenak. It sounds like overheating. Have an additional fan put in or take the cover off. You can also take the cover off and put a fan next to the computer.

Also, it could be possible that your dont get enough juice from your power supply to run your video card. But I think a system reset would be the symptom from that.
