if u want to make him a sprite in 2d then consult my site for a free 3d to 2d open source render script in my DBC coe section.

http://www.lunarpixel.com/code.htm

If u want just animate it in milkshape then play it in the script and it will spit out the required 2d cells for use as a sprite.

If u animate in milkshape with a 3d model u will have a 3d model for use in 3d projects at the end.

using my script creates 2d cells for use in a 2d game

a sprite is 2d unless its a pusedo 3d sprite.

u make a 3d plain and face it to the camera so it behaves like a 2d sprite but its really a flat 3d plain of 2 polys moving around the screen.

its a term to describe a 3d model of 2 polys to form a square,
the square looks like a sprite but is really 2 polgons facing the camera to mimic a 2d sprite.

copy that code in the source button and paste it to your DBC or DBP program.

then run it and you will see the demonstration of a 3d plain rotating.

save the file with a name something similar to its usage

3dplain.dba

save this example in an examples folder. you will want to collate and keep snippets to learn from once u have the basic language commands down to see how things work.
