Its good but isnt that a bit too high poly.
But if FPSC could take high poly that would be quite good.

EDIT: IGNORE THIS THIS IS WRONG (caps off)

Well I don't know much about progammming[why FPSC is my choice] but I have 1024MB RAM so I shouldn't have a prob.

That shouldn't be too high poly, FPSC can handel whatever DBP can handel, and that's alot. Plus, most hud weapons do have alot of detail, unless you still play quake (I mean I do, but I know the new stuff too)

sorry i misread the poly count that is quite a good model youve got there.
Please ignore my other post i misread the poly count i thought it was 1625 polys.
Are you gonna post this.
If you do for commercial or non commercial use.
And it probably doesnt work for Wutang because he needs to download the codec or get VLC media player.
thanks

If its 625 polys, FPSC and nearly every other games engine, will turn it to tris, making it 1250 polys, give or take.

thx for telling me that higgins, and i still have yet to find the poly counter in c4d !!!!

@suicid3
yes i am gonna post this, its gonna be for non commercial unless i directly give you permision to use it for commercial, the model i release tho will not be the same as the version i am going to use in my game, mine will have a different texture and probably a melee secondry attack with it if that is possible with EMPTY's mod.

Didn't someone else on the boards make a similar model to this one? I know I've seen something at least 85% identical to this somewhere in this forum...

yes, they did, its only the barrel design though, and the barrel on this is deeper/longer, the rest i got from various other guns though.

Aight, just making sure. Either way, that's a gun I wouldn't mind putting into my game.

I wouldn't put that into my game. The lack of detail and the overall "bubble" look to it is kind of a turn off. Still quality though.

I'm not trahsing on it, just commenting on what i believe dictates a gun worth dling. It had nothing to do with your comment.

btw, i just reduced the polys and triangulated it, and it is now 808 tris, ive got it working in fpsc and now i just need to animate and make some fine tune adjustments in the gunspec.

Well at least it is a lower poly. Looking at it originally I thought it was too high poly.

I think you should probably try to remake the texture, no offence. It's just that I've never seen a gun with HCP in big white letters printed on the side of it.

*thinking*

He COULD release that texture, though. You never know who could get an idea for an organization that has the acronym HCP.

"Son your grounded from 3d modeling," says father.

I dont understand a parents mentality to do this. Instead of encouraging the kids to practice an art(3d modeling is an art) they smash their dreams and force them to become alcoholics. lol

Anyway nice model.

NIK, I'm pretty sure he wasn't just grounded from 3D art. It's an age-old parenting tactic--if you do something wrong, the best way to make sure the kid's punished right is to take away the one thing they enjoy doing the most. In this guy's case, it involved the computer, so he's likely grounded from it, not just the modeling stuff.

As for the 'trend' I was speaking of, it's becoming increasinly clear to me that at least half of the board members are under the age of 18. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, some of these guys are really impressing me as of late, but I was expecting more along the lines of college students and indie developers here instead of the recent string of teenagers I've seen lately.

Hey news for ya GEM, it is not a trend it's reality. Most of the people here are indeed kids. HTough I think there are a few of us in here who are just about 30 and some even older.
