I have posted a ton of models on the forums and the comments started bad but they have gotten better by alittle every model I have made, which leads me to believe I'm getting better. I personally like this model and I was just wondering if I could get some comments. I pirticluarly like the levels of clothing. I know it's not much for a real modeler but I think it's an inprovement for me. Oh yea I'm going to redo his hair. He's about 2500 polys.

you are getting better, but the neck/shoulders/armpits are still weird. the arms need to come up a bit, and the neck shouldn't fatten out like that. finally, the underarms need to cut in closer. stand in the same pose as your character and look in the mirror. you'll see what I mean!!

wait a minute, I just read in another post that you use Maya. dude, if you've used the smooth button in poly edit menu, then.... dont that'll be why the shape is a bit funky. try chamferin the vertexes instead.

do a google search on some human form pics and I'm sure maya has some sort of background pic capabilities . Use the pics a as a background for correct human proportions. A little scaleing here, and a little scaleing there, will yield some realistic results.

Thanks so I guess I am getting better. I will look into getting some good scale pictures and fixing his proportians before I texture him.
@Butter Fingers I thought that was an option not a function do you mean turn it on whan I smooth?

About the comment thing I've gotten "its ok" and "I like it but..." comments before but that is the first really good one. Yay!

yeah no problem. What version of Maya are you running?

As far as I know the Direct X SDK is not free to re-distribute, but It seems silly for you to download the whole 450mb just to get a 5kb plugin.

Would the mods have a problem with me posting the plugin here? If not, I'll put it up in a minute when I've finished my cuppa tea!

It's not very easy to use, so if you need any help feel free to ask. It's nice to know there are a few other Maya heads out there

you're gonna have a few probs there dude. I downgraded back to 6.5 because the exporter for 7 is a bit buggy. Its included in the SDK though, so If a mod could ok it I'll post it here.

Cut Scenes, I suggest you contact Butters via e-mail for the Plugin. Since I'm not sure about the legalities of posting a plugin of that nature...best not to do it.

Hmmmm... I don't know what to tell you... If you're looking for realism then you've failed miserably. But I do acknowledge that you are doing something - unlike me, so please do NOT take my commentary as a personal attack.

However, your model could work as a cartoonesque figure. I'd like to see you add textures to the model to get the bigger picture of what you are creating.

Cool he is supposed to be like a zombie. But hes not supposed to be a scary zombie just a fun to kill and slightly cartoonish zombie. Sorry ive been busy this week so i havent been able to work on his textures.
