Hi.

I creating a simpsons game (just for fun, because i know it cant be released) and here is my homer. I know its still some work to do, i just want to share my progress. I am willing to release him for free as soon as he is finished but i dont really know if thats legal. perhaps a mod can tell me?

he's ok. You have an inverted face on each of his hands (or your shader is going funny).

Actually, he does look quite a bit like homer. Cell rendered style!

These blind spots appear when i convert to 4ds from milkshape an open it in wings (quicker texturing). I dont know how to fix it, in milkshape everything is ok.
Any suggestions to make him look a bit more like homer, butters?

As critical as I tend to be, I cant really find fault with this model. I mean it looks kind of basic, but that's really what I'd expect from a simpsons game. What ever program it is in that makes those faces black, select the black faces and flip them (there should be an option to do that somewhere in the poly edit menu).

I guess you need to make some more generic simpsons type characters. If it's gonna be a FPS you cant really spend the whole time shooting homers. If you made some simpsons style enemies (like a commando, or a cop or something) then you could get around copywrite easier as it would qualify more as a fan game.

Nice work though. I'd be interested to see it in game!

For sure there will be more enemys and characters. I cant even shoot 1 homer, he is my hero.
But funny to imagine, just run around and shoot as many homers as you can

Homer looks pretty good... Don't you think that The Simpsons should be broadcasted in English as the humour would, I assume, be lost in the translation? Do Bender!
