I'm not so sure I care to be honest. As soon as Vista ships, I'll buy it and install it anyway - XP is history, the sooner people face up to that fact, the better things will get.

As for the game I can't say I'm very interested in it, the style just isn't my cup of tea. Looking forward to Vista Halo 2 though

I never really like XP, I am very skeptic about Vista, I would get the beta, but not enough HD space my friends. Microsoft tend to drop their support and move on, heck so do Mac...

I think the problem with Vista is that the vast majority of people don't look beyond Aero and assume that's the only real change to try and 'Macify' XP, but under the hood it couldn't be further from the truth really. As I said though, I'll move to Vista once released because they *will* stop supporting XP eventually - that and I hate being left behind Vista is the future of Windows, regardless if you like that fact or not!

it's funny, I've only really just updated to XP lol and now I need to get Vista, grrrr... oh well... I always have been behind with the times lol, but I'm still annoyed that they aren't going to bring out Alan Wake for XP, but looking at that game I would buy a complete new system just for the game! better start saving my pennies then...

Same reason why I had to get XP...I hope Vista makes better use of its power (It think my Windows XP doesn't make best use of its memory, which is noticable when like me, lack it), is more stable and has a better structure to become less vunerable to viruses.

Unfortunately I cant try RC1 as it now checks the minimum memory requirements (and my test machine only has 256MB). So, if someone has tried it, can they tell us if overall speed has been increased.

What makes them greedy because of this?? Why do you expect them to make games for every single platform? If you had a choice between programming for vista or for xp what would you choose yes thats right vista.
