Basically, im trying to write a file-share program to be used on all my comps at home, as the network is pretty shoddy,

Im using the tcp/ip connection type, with address data of the IP + this comps network address, but it no work. ne pointers?

Well, DB isn't exactly the best program for the job. I'd suggest VB?

And if you are still using DB, there is no way I can help you without seeing your code.

The help file for old stone age VB 98 is better than the DB or DBPro help pages

I second this - I remember trying to write a chat app in DB (like most newcomers do) once I built it in DB my brother convinced me to build it in VB... Infinitely better

i dnt have VB 98, i have .NET 2003, which is a bugger to get working on other ppls comps if they dont have the 'CLR' tho most do now. I'll look into this .. thanks for the pointer
