Hey guys, anyone got any experience with CNC boring - point to point machines like V. Alberti ones? I want to know how to read the floppy disks on my home computer.. but when i goto open the drive I get "Disk not formatted, format now?" even though there is data on the disk, I guess it uses another format method or something.

Is there a program or something that will let me view the G code?

Some CNC machines will use MS-DOS disks, but really it depends on how old it is. Perhaps the CNC software writes directly to the disk in it's own format, you should find out how these disks are compiled.

It could be that those particular disks don't like your particular floppy drive - make sure you try the disks in an older PC.

IIRC, the disks are a proprietary format, but you can get software to read/write the data on a PC. You still need to know which format your data is in first!
