I didn't test it, but in the beginning of your loop, it says "stage=1". Perhaps this should be 0, not 1.

well tell us what it is suppose to be doing... but i'd say that stage=1 should be put just before the loop

Nowhere in there is stage being set to 0. Why do you have if statements have outcomes that rely on state being 0?
