Me neither. It´s only really viable if you want to get something before everybody. It hardly ever ends up cheaper. It only costs 196€/130pounds? in the US but if you add on post and packaging, the price of a plug (ok so that´s only a few cents) and the price of one of thse voltage turny-upers it would probably come out the same or dearer. Of course all that doesn´t matter as the thing is region locked. No bizarre Japanese games for us then.

Wii!

Best system ever. I'll repeat that statement here after I buy one.

I wouldn't be surprised if they used a DVD region setup.

Apparently the Wii won't play DVD films at all. I read yesterday they had kept that functionality out to keep the price down. Probably be a software version that you have to pay extra for at a guess.

Cheers

I read that they were originaly going to sell an attachment to allow dvd playback but decided against it due to the price and availability of dvd players today.

I don't care if it doesn't play DVDs--- I have my 360 for that anyways I'm happy to keep the price down to a minimum.

Who cares if it plays DVD's, psh, just buy a DVD player, you'll get more features, and quality anyhow most likely. Heh, my house is usually technologically a mile behind (or to be exact 1.609344 kilometers for you Europeans) and we have, lets see *begins counting* 7 devices for playing DVD's

Um, wasn't said I was bothered, just bringing up the topic after the region coding was mentioned. Oh, and I have.... hmmm, I think 20+ devices that will play movies off DVD disks. So no, not exactly bothered about that one.

Cheers

I wasn't saying that to you directly, in fact I wasn't really saying it to anyone, just posting my thoughts on the matter. I see alot of people complaining about the no DVD player thing alot, but it's really no big deal.

If you don't have a DVD player today you are like way behind man. I really doubt anybody deep inside cars but they complain to make Nintendo look bad. They're just poor losers.
