Quote: "Ok, not the hud, but you can randomise character animations and entity animations through scripting.

:state=0,random=1:state=2
:state=0,random=1:state=1
:state=0,random=1:state=3
:state=0,random=1:state=4
:state=0:state=5
:state=1:animate=105
:state=2:animate=101
:state=3:animate=102
:state=4:animate=103
:state=5:animate=104

(where animations 100 to 105 are are variations of the same animation)"

This might not work well. Not to question your scripting Airslide, but I think the random keyword works as :

So random=1 would do it all the time.

If you had say, 5 different things you want to do, you could have each of them after a random=5: condition check.

Ofcourse, you can manipulate the weights. So if you want to do a particular thing more than the others:

etc

filya - I just modified the script already posted, and that shouldn't be the case. If it uses the standard DBP rnd(#) command, it should the result will be between 0 and the number, in this case one. So there is a fifty/fifty chance that it will be positive (equal to our value, 1).

I haven't posted a comment in this thread lately but I would just like to state once again that this is some good looking stuff.
I can't wait to play the game.

Airslide, I am sure you know better than I do since you also use DB Pro. Just that the 'between word' is a bit confusing.

Between 0 and 5 in grammatically correct English would mean 1,2,3,4
But here it seems it means 0,1,2,3,4,5. But then again, this is a programming language and not English, so..

Thanks for the clarification Airslide. Will be sure to remember that.

Feel free to debate this as much as you like here guys...Though this wouldn't be easy for a search engine to find, more then likely the people that would be helping someone in need of this would more then likely remember the discussion. I'm sure though bond isn't saying much more, he's probably like myself and sitting back, keeping tabs on the debate of proper useage.

I figure by the end of my current project, you'll have this hashed out and I can slide back and do animations for Mocha.

Thanks for the pointers

Newest character "Ray -ray" the pimp that slaps the dancer and ticks Kat off for the first mini-hit/non sanctioned assassination of the game. An underling of Chainsaw Charley.(Searching the area carefully where he's killed will reveal a hidden kilo, which Kat can use to finance upgrades to her weapon and body armor)

Edit: Figured I'd add CSC to this post since I had to bump this anyways.
