Hello everybody...

Haven't posted on here for ages because I (used to) live in a school and it was blocked on the internet there. Joy.

Anyway I can now get decent internet because I moved to Cambridge... because I got a job as a trainee programmer at Frontier! Yay! Unsarcastic joy!

It is so ridiculous. I just emailed David Braben (of Elite fame - first game I ever played!) completely randomly, said I wanted a job for my gap year. Unbelievable they offered me an interview, so I went there with nothing but DBPro skills and A Level results and got offered the job!

I start tomorrow, so I spent the last week or so learning some C++.

It's just weird how one week, I'm buying Edge, and it has The Outsider on the cover and I think - "One day...", and then about a month later I'm working on it (well I probably won't be, but here's to hoping).

Also, I got a phone interview for an internship at Crytek, but it's in Germany and I already said I'd do the other thing.

So the moral is, get good A Levels then just email every studio advertising in the back of Edge and they actually might take you even if you have absolutely no experience.

Well then we'll set the dogs on you, or the bees, or the dogs with the bees in their mouths so when they bark they shoot bees at you.
