Hi, I have started re-writing my old php game which was called the controller. People who played this will remember it as a space based trade simulation. This new game however will be set on Earth in the past and will probably concentrate on production lines that branch out from farming.
The idea is that you can purchase land to use for cultivating crops or animal husbandry, or you can create processing plants for things like milk, livestock, crops etc.
The reason I chose to do it this way is that there is far more information I can use to devise the simulation more accurately.
One problem that I might encounter is time-dilation, since rearing a calf to birth takes longer than producing butter from milk for example, but the games all operate on the same turn based system. Any ideas how I could go about handling this without having long boring periods of waiting.
Your input is appreciated
