As stated in the other thread about this,

SCANCODEKEYPRESSED=X is true when X=the key code of a pressed key

Example: SCANCODEKEYPRESSED=5 is true when the TAB key is pressed

why is it scancodekeypressed=x, I only use keypressed=x and it works fine.

Really? That doesn't seem correct, if FPSC is dividing the scripts with the "," marker like it should (though I haven't look through that part of the source to see) then it should want the full scancodekeypressed, since that is what they wrote in the menu scripts.
