Hey there, I'm new to programming in general. I have played around a little with darkbasic pro but do not know much, I hardly know any basics tbh. So, as my first language, I was wondering about buying a book to learn.

My question is, which book would you recommend buying?

Darkbasic Pro Game Programming by T Harbour

or

Beginner's Guide to DarkBASIC Game Programming by Jonathan S. Harbour and Joshua R. Smith

Thank you!

Depends on what version of Dark Basic you have, Beginner's Guide to DarkBASIC is for DBC, DarkBASIC Pro Game Programming is for DarkBASIC Professional.

@ Cliff Mellangard 3DEGS - I have the beginner's guide, it mentions Pro briefly, but is mainly written for DBC.

@Kenomica - I would go for the book on pro.
