I've tried alot of code and searches here at the forum, but I havn't gotten anywhere with the fix on this. Using fog makes everthing that has the for effect applied to go black.

_abovewater:
fog on
FOG COLOR 0, 128, 256
FOG DISTANCE 10000
SET AMBIENT LIGHT 100
RETURN

has anyone had this problem before?

THANKS again guys,

JABBER

Try increasing the fog distance, if that doesn't work, I don't know.

I've tried a range from 1 to 1,000,000 and it won't even look different.
I thought it might be a setting somewhere in the code that doesn't seem to have anything todo with the fog,

THANKS DAEMON

Quote: "This command will activate the effect of fogging, if the current display card supports it."

According to the help file, the fog on command depends on if your graphics card supports it, so it could be that your card just doesn't support it

I tested this with a little program with one camera and a matix as a ground model then added fog, everything work great, I'm just trying to find what changed in this new project which is the longest program I've ever written . I'm at 609 lines of code now, for my skill level that's huge!

here the project---->

Thanks for ya time guys, and PLZ keep the ideas coming. 10,000 heads is better than one, and if the one head is mine it's like 1/4 a head LOL,

After Upgrade 6.0 I remember there was a fog bug related to the presence of particles in the code ( it would make fog go black whatever the fog color settings were, even if particles weren't used at runtime ).
Try remming the particles code out or even remove it all the way.
Not sure if this bug was fixed.
Cheers

Looks like I'll have to choose between particles and fog till the bug is fixed
