I'm not sure about question #1. But question #2 is pretty easy: you need to make a topic that people actually want to discuss Once you get up to x amount of posts in a thread, the file emblem goes red. Once you get more than one page in a thread, it posts the last page of the thread in the header. But don't go filling up a thread on your own just to make it red, hehe.

You can know how many thread's you've started by checking out your profile. How many posts you've made is usually unimportant - we don't 'rate' users by how many posts they have.

You can see how many thread you've posted here:
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=post_count

It's not really importent. But it's always just a bit fun to see how many you have posted.

Hmmm. Thats not bad considering you only joined last month.... You will soon qualify for the DB geek saddo award (like the rest of us).

I remember once I used to play a MUD (Held on MONO I think...) when in Uni, back in 1991. Anyway, after about 6 months I noticed I had a fair bit of time added up playing the game. But then I checked out this girl I had gotten to know as she had started the same week as me. Basically I had something like 5 days total online play (which I thought was pretty bad, esp. when you consider it's just typing and text). She had about 2.5 months. As in realtime. As in you would have to play it 24 hours a day for 2.5 months. So about 10 hours a day basically, for 6 months. She had also become a system admin because she pretty much always there, and met a new boyfriend in the game what became about a year later her husband (like in real life). I turned more to the dark side after that (it's the mostly the opposite of studying, using computers, and avoiding parties, clubs, and bars ).

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing
