Hi !
This is a Snow Globe with Newton physics.
Made in DBP 6.2b (now compiled with 5.8)

Please, tell
1. Does it run ?
2. What fps you get ?
3. Is it too dark/light ?
4. Does it mess your memory (Does
Windows act normally after the program)?
5. Your specs.

You can use arrowkeys and "a,z" while playing,
alltough it's a screensaver kind of program.

01.10 Compiled with older DBP 5.8 for better compatibility
with older DirectX9.0c.
Also put everything in a one executable.

Lol, nice...

It runs at 78 fps on my computer.
and there's nothing wrong with it in my opinion...

That was pretty cool, I get 100-105 fps, you should have used spheres for the collision though, as I assume the slowdown was mainly due to the collisions, and sphere collision is alot faster than cubes, and texturing them with snowflakes that point to the camera would make it cooler , the sound was fairly annoying though other than that it's pretty awsome.

Very nice. But I hate the music, because I've heard it so many times when playing Rollercoaster Tycoon. xD

Didn't try the demo, but judging by the screenshot it should make for a lovely screensaver! Put some nice flowing camera movements in there (if you haven't), for different views of the snowglobe.

4. No.
5. AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ | 1GB DDR-SDRAM | 512MB ATI Radeon X1800 XT

Just a suggestion: switch to streaming music, and perhaps go for a more ambient tune. This one didn't seem to fit all that well in my opinion.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+
1GB DDR-SDRAM (May increase to 2GB one day)
512MB ATI Radeon X1800 Series - Finally! A card that does pixel shaders correctly!

sneaky smith12,

I think that Enhancements.dll is inside the exe.
So I don't know what is wrong there.

1. Does it run ? yes
2. What fps you get ? you'll have to wait until i install fraps in vista- that's 40fps now, at 1280x1024, is it in windowed fullscreen?
please note that i have all the fancy glass effects on in vista beghind the program
3. Is it too dark/light ? no
4. Does it mess your memory (Does
Windows act normally after the program)? it doesn't seem to
5. Your specs.
see sig, running vista RC1 (32bit).. it's quite odd that your program said i needed above dx9.0c when i ran it at first considering i'm running dx10.. but it worked after i updated that.

AMD athlon 64 3000+, 1GB ddr400, 400GB total hdd, ati radeon x700pro 256mb (pci-e) 17" tft(@1280x1024).

Roxas,
I just tried the cooldowncpu -thing with gogasdll
as you suggested, but it slowed down the fps.( I'm doing something wrong maybe).

Finnish: Viime vuonna käytiin ajamassa VM -Karting Centerissä, ja halusin mallintaa radan. Tämä "Snow Globe" on taas siksi, että oon täällä Pasilassa töissä. Seuraavaksi laitan jotain muuta tuonne palloon...

English: Last year we went to VM -Karting Center to drive, and I wanted to model that track. This "Snow Globe" exists, because I'm working here at Pasila.Next I put something else to that globe...

Robin and sneaky smith12,
I had done this with Dbp 6.2b installation with
those extras and all...Maybe I have to reinstall
everything from box and update to 6.2b

But now I jumped back to Dbp 5.8 which uses older Directx9c (It now runs even xp pre sp 2)

Also I put everything to one exe ,
with Dark Explorer. (Also took away unused dll:s)

When I go home from work this afternoon (yes ,weekend
at work ) I update the file.

mm0zct,
Lets see, what Vista says about that. (Older DirectX)

No you are not doing anything wrong.. But little instructions

Put cooldowncpu first command in loop

And what bigger number than more CPU decreases but also fps decreases so i suggest you test what is the best number after it
