Im making a 2D fighter plane game (bird's eye view), and i was wonderin if u can get the sprite to rotate or anythin. At the moment i have 16 different images all pointin different directions, so the plane can turn, but it's not v smooth. I was wonderin whether u could create a 3D object+paste the bmpto it, then hide the 3D object but keep the bmp visible. That way i could just rotate the object. Unfortunately, im no good with 3D+don't know where 2 start. Can any1 tell me how to do this? Or give me another way of rotatin the sprite? (P.S. I havent got a name for it yet, so any suggestions would be appreciated, doesnt hav 2 b serious?)

use:
make object plain(object number,width value,height value)
and then texture it with the image of the plane and then you can use the rotate commands for 3d objects, unless your using dbp in which case theres a rotate sprite command anyway

To clarify, make sure the areas of the sprite you don't want to see are completely black, like rgb(0,0,0). You use the set object command to make the black areas transparent(invisible)

In fact areas up to rgb(10,10,10) are unvisible when using set object command and setting transparenci flag.
