Here's a free repeater rifle made by Jon Fletcher, animated by me.

Download installer.

Download ZIP file.

There are no weapon or ammo pickups included, so you have to select in in the "has weapon" field of the Start marker to use it.
If someone wants to make the weapon and ammo pickups for it and post them here, that would be great
The original, non-animated model file can be download from this thread. If this turns out well, I'll try to animate the other 3 guns as well.

A movie of the gun in action can be viewed here.

Thanks, Fred and Luke

I'm almost finished with the sawed-off shotgun. It doesn't seem like there's much interest in the Winchester rifle (only 3 people have posted), so if enough people request to download the animated sawed-off shotgun, I'll post it. If not, I won't bother

There's still a few problems with it. The animation on the reload is kind of shaky, and the shotgun shells need a little work.

Here's a video of it in action.

I've played with the Winchester and it is sweet...especially the cocking animation.
You guys did a really good job on this.
Just because you only got a few replies doesn't mean that people aren't interested.
And given the number of posts I have had to delete or edit you might be better off...just kidding.
Excellent weapon.

Edit:If you decide not to post the shotgun (and I really think you should) you can e-mail to me if you want.
I am interested in it.

Edit yet again:
Just watched the video.Good job.And I like the reload animation on the sawed off.Beats the reload animation on the one I made.
Can't wait for it!

The shotgun looks good! I'm particularly interested in the longer one, as I've tried to animate that one before but with little success cause I was new to it. I probally could now, but not as good as you

Yeah this is a nice weapon guys. Good work. Only thing I think could be improved on is uvmapping. Being you look at the top of this allot planar mapping probably isn't the best choice. But nice shape to this and well modeled.

Well even the items you release free should be done right. Crow had this same way of doing things...His models looked great from the side but the planar mapping made them useless in a game. I don't see a point in releasing things I myself wouldn't use.

I'm only this harsh because of your calibur. Had this been a noob I'd of handed um my stock "Atta boy" quote and moved on. Being who this came from, it wasn't worth the time animating it. The way its texturted kinda makes it useless. Any attempt to fix the map, screws the animations. I mean unless this was practice for Walking Dead and he wanted to test on something different.

making this weapon was a waste of my time, i didnt want it, and the person i was making it for bairly wanted it, i only cared about the modeling stage, its just easier to give it away free, im in no way proud of this, i wouldnt even care if someone sold it, thats how useless this job was to me, UV mapping would just add to the pointlessness of the model

Hey, I like all four of the guns, and I don't think they're useless (however, I am a noob at this)
But you're right, Locrian... I am testing out methods of animating because this is only the third weapon I've ever animated.
I love vintage firearms, too.
Thanks again, Jon!

Yeah I fully understand...just saying coming from Jon, whos kinda the local favorite when it comes to weapons, it was way below the usual standard. Thats the problem when you make other things of such high calibur....

Walking Dead Productions, would you like this (and prehaps the shotgun too) featured on fpsFree?

If so, give me an e-mail so we can get it together with a proper liscense (our main consern) and I'll pack it in an installer.

(For the record I'm now working with xplosys )

I did a really bad job on the sawed-off shotgun (it was the first gun I animated). I need to totally re-do it. The reload animation is the worst part, it's very shaky. If I re-make the animation for the sawed-off shotgun, I'll make a new thread for it.

But here's the gun if you want to play around with it.

Well then I guess that means a Shaun of the Dead game is in order. I would do it only I don't have Zombie enemies and I don't have any money to spend on model pack four (Due to the soon-to-be-released model pack 5 )
