what is BSP? a map format? i looked it up on webopedia but it wasn't listed

Stands for Binary Space Partition Tree

It makes sure that objects furthest away are drawn first, think of a painting.
You'd paint the sky first, then the mountains, the trees, and so on.

A bsp is calculated based on your map
