I'd like to make a floor entity so that it can be destroyed.
So far everything went smoothly with a test. I used Milkshape, DBconv etc. However I'm guessing at the dimensions. Does anyone know the dimensions of a standard floor segment?

Also, I'd be very happy to use someone else's if there's anything out there?

I am not 100% sure, but I think each square in the editor is 100 x 100.

filya is correct. It's 100 pixils by 100 pixils.

My first one worked perfectly. I'll wrestle around with sizing in Milkshape. Milkshape isn't exactly intuitive! LOL

Can anyone point me in the direction of floor textures? I'd like to make a variety of entities. I'll zip them and post when finished.

Okay I lied. Apparently it didn't work perfectly.
I tested it by placing and shooting at it. That part worked. But what I didn't do, was step on it. When I walk on it, I just fall straight through. Now that could be useful for making a plain old trap. But I'd like to be able to walk on it, but have it break if shot or an explosion occurs. Any ideas why I fall through?

As far as collision goes, when using the MakeEntitiesFromXFiles program, I only have the option for box, sphere, etc. I set the collition to box, which I think is 1. Strength is set to 1. I've also bumped it up to 25. But no change.

I'm afraid that I'm stumped on this one.

You can stop posting about this now.
I am sure that if someone can help you they will.
You might want to check out the trap door located somewhere in this board...search for it and check it out.
It might be somewhere along the lines of what you are looking for.
