Here is a preview of a farm house I am building for my War Damaged Buildings Pack. This model is 50% complete as of right now. Just wanted to get some feedback on it's progress for now.

Stamina, I have a question for you.

Each segment in FPSC is 100x100 pixels.

Do you build your models to the same scale (therefore allowing easy placement), or do you just build. I know it seems like a "nothing" issue, but I think that scale is pretty important. Just wanted to know!.

butters.

Oh, and that farm house looks so delicious. You really have found an area you're seriously good at!

Butter,,I build it, then plac eit in the game, then I judge everything from that point on. If I need to readjust, then I do so and redo the test. Just the way I like to do things...lol..And thanks for the comments.

Nice looking stamina. Lots of detail and overall a very nice building. Only thing I'd add, is even if there isn't another fire place on the lower floor the foundation of that fireplace would extend all the way to the bottom. I'm taking it that it isn't a fireplace insert and cultured stone(fake stone) being that it's WW2 era. The weight of a structure like that would have brought that building(or that side of the house) crashing down long before any bomb. There are some mistakes made for the perlins over the raffters, but those are very minor and your design would actually work to hold up the roofing tiles though it's never been done like that. It's plauseable, and would pass for what most feel they would see in that situation.

Looks great! I have been wanting to do something like this for so long, but no ones answered my questions (http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=90646&b=24) in this forum

stamina...I had tried your free model pack (the ruins and stuff). In a lot of places, the character can actually pass through the walls. Also, some of the areas are inaccessible (as if there is an invisible segment there).

Just wondering if you know what can be done about those, coz I plan on making segments like these for my games too.

Thanks for the help,

filya

Thanks Locrian. Like I stated,,this model is only 50% done. There will be an additional stone hearth in the basement where the main wood stock would be. I still have some beams to put in place to support the rafters in the instance you were pointing out.

This is actually being modeled after a replica WWII house model, as are all the other buildings I am going to be making, so I am trying to keep it as authentic as possible without overdoing the poly count, which, for my taste, is not an easy task.

@ bdgbdg, not sure of the cost of the pack yet. It will be a few weeks before I am even close to putting it out. I am taking my time on this to get everything just right.

@ filya, I know that I have tried these models on 3 different machines, and believe it or not, nothing worked the same on any 3 of them. That is one of the things I am trying to work out with this pack, which is why I stated that I was taking my time. If I am going to be charging for this, then I had better had it right.

@Johny English,,if you downloaded the pack BEFORE I updated the original link,,then download the buildings patch here...

I truely appreciate everyones feedback. Some really good points made on this pack. Keep them coming.

Right now I am predicting 10 buildings,,,but with each building will come a host of accessories to add realism to the scene.
