Not to mention some of the actors in it are amazing, like Michael Fassbender.

It looks pretty good.

Not that much of a Frank Miller fan to be honest. Everyone* always goes on about The Dark Knight Returns, I thought it was poo.

I dunno, I guess I only like writing with wit (Powers, Runaways) or stuff that's damn f**king cool (100 Bullets).

Talking of visually stunning, I simply can't wait for The Fountain. Ask me if I can wait for it.

Oh I'll just tell you I can't.

Oh The Departed yeah I saw that.

Thought the first 3/4 were freaking awesome. The ending was a bit bad.

I dunno, it was realistic I guess, just a bit of a lame way to payoff the super complex setup.

The bit with the phonecall where they both knew who each other were but couldn't speak was awesome. AWESOME.

Also the soundtrack was sweet.

Looks like it could be very good, although, like you said, a bit dramatic. I think I watched a show on that battle once (yes I'm a history buff, especially when it comes to wars), very interesting (300 spartans holding back a Persian army in the hundreds of thousands, because they forced them into a narrow shore by a cliff where only like 4 or 5 men could fight at a time, and since the Spartans were so excellently trained, the overwhelming ratio of Persians to Spartans was barely a factor, they just slaughtered them as they came. Persia finally won because a traitor showed them a secret path through the mountain to the other side of it, so they flanked the Spartans, but they killed tens of thousands of men. Ok, I'll stop giving you a history lesson now )

I couldn't agree more.
To me, they had an awesome story going. Instead of finishing it properly, they just went for whatever would shock and suprise people the most. Now, I do like when movies have cool plot twists. I don't mind when movies are unrealistic. Just PLEASE... do it throughout. I hate when a story has a certain flow then they try to change it to be something else. When I left I felt like the 95% of the movie was a waste of character development to end it all in the last five minutes. They MUST have originally had a different ending that was changed to this one on a whim
