anyone know the secret to making high detailed ground landscape??

i thought of giving my landscape about 10 512x512 textures, but this seems very time consuming.anyone know a better way??

Depending on how huge you want it to be and on your PC specs
you can try Multiscape (free and coded in DBP).
You have the possibility to add as many texture layers as you want, and can have them as detailed as you like by playing with the texture resolution (128x128,...512x512 etc) and UV tiling
Do a search in Program Announcements
