Install the latest NVIDIA drivers with their new Control Panel. Then go into it and click on 'Monitor Temperature Levels' and voila.. it even gives you a nice graph too.

Edit - this is what it looks like, here you can see my 7950 GX2 running at a cool 62.

Actually 62 C is not very cool... especially considering when you get into a game it jacks up to over 80 C. Though this seems to be the norm for Nvidia cards. If my CPU were 80 C I'd definitely get more cooling... I guess its ok for our cards though?

62 for a 1GB 7950GX2 (dual GPU, SLi card) is fine, that is half the slowdown threshold.

If my CPU hit 80C I would break out the fire extinguisher! But it's nowhere near, my CPU (which has been on, and busy, for the past 18 hours) is 35C. That is perfectly fine for an AMD FX62.

The 62C was my GPU.

Yeah, I know. I am curious though as to why the thing can run so hot compared to a CPU?

In your BIOS, you know, where it says "Press DEL to enter setup" when you turn your computer on. Most have a PC Health Status section, go there. But be careful, don't screw around with your BIOS settings if you don't know what you are doing.

my GPU runs at 48C idle on full load its 54C-55C my CPU runs at 30C-36C, my memory runs at around the same temp of my CPU. but i still want more cooling just to make sure...

Your temps are absolutely fine... don't worry about it. Even if you overheat you most likely won't screw something up, your comp will just turn off or start giving you errors. Just watch for the signs. But those temps tell me your PC is A-OK.
