Can anyone tell me about a good tutorial on how to softmod xbox? i would like to install linux on it because i see that some people have done that and i would like to try i know that google is my friend but i'm not sure if i should trust some of the tutorials out there...

oh, i have a newer version of xbox than is needed for this softmod thingy if i buy a modchip, will i be able to use it regardless of the xbox's version?

This really isnt the place to keep asking this, if you want help screwing up your xbox, ask it in a xbox forum.

It's geek culture. This is a geeky thing. Meaning that this is acceptable. Anyways, this may be the latest craze because people don't want to upgrade to next-gen systems but want to add more in terms of software to their current-gen systems...
