Well, you could at least tell us about it, instead of just saying:

Quote: "Was funky-tastic."

I'm sure hundreds of people hae experienced that, so why should we make comments if you don't give detail?

Here, I'll make a thread:

Used my ccomputer today!

Got geforce 7950 from work.

Yes, the Wii is pretty sweet. I made a similar thread a few months ago after Nintendo visited our work The nunchuck controller is pretty sweet!

The controller is amazing. And so is Metroid Prime 3... and Excite Truck. I'm having a hard time playing racing and First Person games since I played them... Dead Rising is the only game that's satisfying me right now. (until Phantasy Start Universe and FFXII).

Is that like, not something you do at least once every day?

Yeah, sorry I'm probably not meant to give out details is all.

It is very responsive though.

Personally I think the twist is the best feature.

There's gotta be a physics based contraptions game possible where you have to pour different amounts of water down chutes etc.

The twist is positional, rather than using the accelerometers, so it's very accurate.

FMW, I doubt you've even played the thing, other wise you wouldn't make that comment. I know many people who disliked the system but then had their opinions changed, even if only slightly, about it's capabilities. Anyways, the thing is responsive, if you can see the motion sensor (god damn Worcester Palladium... so DARK). It's not something you have to worry about with games like Excite Truck or Wii Sports, but it's hell with Metroid Prime 3.

The only ammo PS3 and 360 fanboys have against the Wii is that the Wii is NOT a true next-gen system. Other than that, the Wii enables a whole new dimension of gaming.

Not next-gen in terms of computing power, but in game-play it is.

It's only next gen because it's coming out with the other systems next (360 and PS3). The hardware, however, being only about 20% faster than an Xbox, is not technically next gen. I don't know the specifics in my brain, but this is what I learned.

And since this is rather subjective based on opinion, there's no rule books stating what constitutes a next gen system and what doesn't. But seeing as how the Wii is has a LOT less power under the hood than the 360 and PS3, the industry doesn't refer to it as technically next gen. I hope that was clear

EDIT:

Technically it's 7th gen.

Plus the CEO of Nintendo says it isn't But to what Animeblood said, in term of graphics and power its not next gen, in terms of game play it is, being a games console, what more important?

I keep pressing FMW's little red button, but nothing is happening!!!!

Quote: "Doesn't PS3 have a motion sensitive controller as well?"

NO. The ps3 controler can sense tilt. That's it. It's about as advanced as the nunchuck in that regaurd, nothing that can compare to the Wiimote. Heck, they had to take the rumble out of the ps3 controler, because it screwed up the tilting.

I don't know why people make such a big fuss about "next-gen" systems, I'm perfectly playing games like Doom 1, Duke Nukem 3D, Lesiure Suit Larry 1-7, and The ORIGINAL Half-Life.

Classics are awesome, presents games are awesome, and new games are awesome, but are just exciting because they're new, like a Christmas present that you love, at first its really amazing and exciting and then ends up like the rest. Nothing beats some of the classics I love, but the Wii offers more to that collection. I mean I still play Monkey Island, Pushover, Rainbow 6, Final Fantasy I through to the more recent, the old Zeldas, was never a fan of Doom, but if I could find my disk I'd still play Quake.

I still play homeworld and hold that it is the greatest rts ever. I also think nfs hot persuit 2 is much better than any of the new street racing ones, which deal with a culture I find to be particularly stupid, and repeticous track designs. My favorite theme park game is Theme park world, because of it's amazing fun factor. And I still haven't beaten the original HL, let alone 2 or episode 1 . Only being around 18, those games are the ones I played back then and still enjoy.

Homeworld is stunning.

I have an emotion, Homeworld-state, that is only enduces by that game.

It's a kind of utterly calm excitement.

You can just sit and watch the little ships and listen to the music it is so good.

Yah I remember when I was in artschool and the founder of Relic and a bunch of artists came and did a talk--- I was just in awe of how cool and down-to-earth they were. Gamers at heart!

You mean they had to add tilting to the controller as the rumble was legaly screwed.
I´m not sure about Nintendo´s wii. I doesn´t seem to be the best option for Zelda. In my mind that makes it worthless. I bought the gamecube for Zelda. I bought the N64 with Zelda. Consoles exist for sole purpose of running Zelda. I wonder what the real wii Zelda will be like.
Luckily I´ve got Okami to entertain me while I wait for Zelda or I would go mad....
