Does anybody have a free working car they're not using? I could really use it to commute.

P.S

I shall give you the game...but only if you pay for my WoW subscription.

Well, the obvious choice would probably be "sell it".

Not to say that we're all greedy bastards here, but why would anyone give out a free videogame to a stranger on the internet when they could give that game to a close friend they know in real life?

So unless you're of celebrity status like me, it won't happen.
So erm...who's got a free WoW gamecard for me?

I might not use it any more, but Iam not giving it away for free because some kid is too cheap to buy it them selves.

Any way, I may feel like playing it one day, so Iam not giving it away.

I think he meant account sharing, which I believe is illegal. You can physically hand over your copy to a friend, or give him your account password, but Arena Net does not want two people sharing an account.

Either way, no one really cares.

You know, this is pretty irritating. I purchase your FTP plugin, point out some obvious bugs to you, ask if you will fix them, I get a response of 'No'. I then ask if you are going to pass it on to someone else to fix and I once again get a solid 'No'. I then ask if you would open source it so someone else could fix the problems and once again I get a 'No' in response. My question to you:

Do you have any reason not to fix your FTP plugin (That I paid for) or to not pass it on to someone else who can? Since you aren't using it anymore, would you mind giving it to someone who could fix it? It is really no more than you are asking of anyone else on this forum. You aren't using it anymore, you are not going to use it anymore so why not allow someone else to take advantage of it?

Forgive my irritation, but the request seems incredibly hypocritical coming from someone I paid money to for a product which just isn't up to snuff.

Edit:
I WAS a customer of yours, and it just seems odd that you would rather ask for free games and accounts than it would be to do what is right and either offer a refund or fix your product. Games and shananigans combined with a begar's attitude all before supporting your customer base eh? Great ethics man.

Haha, that was the nail in the coffin. You apparantly sold plugins but you can't cough up $30 for a game you want?

Well, the main thing I'm concerned about, is who in their right mind would create, let alone __sell__ a product that offers identical features to something that is already inside of the program that it is a plug in for? Anyone with half a brain would realise that that is not really going to work...

EDIT: I'm talking about the FTP plug in here by the way

Well, I finally decided to create a website that really reflects what kind of programmer I really are: OneManBand software: http://www.ombsoft.com

You may give yours away, but my uber Runescape account is far more valuable than any guild wars, 1 year WoW account in the world! (except Stan, Kyles, Cartman's and Kenny's, gotta have that sword...)

To Sergy's credit, this statement isn't entirely true. His FTP plugin offered the ability to get the date time stamp of remote files, among other things which the native DBP commands lack. However, nearly every command in his FTP plugin goes haywire if there is a space in the name of the remote file which you are attempting to perform an operation on, rendering the plugin virtually useless.

i never said that.. besides, noone that i know can fix that bug i had anyways.. and hows that have to do with guildwars?

@All: i dont mean that i want to account for ever..
you see, got army and im hope only once in a week or even once in two weeks. so in that time that im at home, i would like to play GuildWars to burn the time up.

so if someone can borrow me his account for once in a week, that would be v. nice.. thanks.

You seem to be missing the point, Account borrowing/lending is strictly forbidden as you can see if you have read the previous posts. Quit wasting your, and more importantly, OUR time.

Yes, we can give the game to our "m8" but you see, we can't share it with them.

Plus, you're not really our "m8" anyways...

Precisely a "m8" is someone you speak to in reallife not over msn or a forum except in very very rare case's....

Yes, except 3DS Max Houdini, Maya...wait I don't even have them on my comp, yes I don't lecture people on legit software if I were not to use it myself, which is why I am so behind in 3D rendering technology

Well, I doubt very many people on here would claim everything on their computer is 100% legit However, asking for illegitimate stuff in a place like this is pretty lame.

The real problem with Sergey K's request is that he's asking for a free segment of time on a paid account. It's a recurring account that is billed every month. It's silly, childish, and a bit pathetic to ask to borrow someones account. I'd no more ask to borrow someones Guildwars account then I would ask someone to borrow their cable TV for a week. I don't think it's even illegal, because the said account would have been paid for, but by someone else.

Now, the above comments of course aren't direct at Sergey K, but rather at this request. I hope that he sees what's wrong with this and remembers this in the future. I don't see it as illegal, but totally absurd.

Why do people say this about 'warez' all the time? A million-and-one people commit copyright violations of some form every day.

warez = copyright violation.

Its basically the equivalent of copying a CD for your friend. You may say its not exactly on the same level, but it effectively is the same thing; and I somewhat doubt you've never committed such violations.

Guild Wars is free to play online after the initial payment, as darkcoder said.

I don't care for the "But it'a against the official rules" argument as this is afterall an online community where many of us know eachother, so exeptions can be made. But asking for a Guild Wars account in public? That's what friends are for, not random strangers...if you don't have friends to borrow it from, then just buy it.

I would personally not have much of a problem with lending my account to people to play, if only there was a way to regulate them from stealing all my current gear/gold or getting me banned from the servers etc. I gladly lend it to friends though.

Well I don't mean "Lets share pirated versions of photoshop", but I most of the regulars here know each other well enough to sell stuff amongst themselves or share game accounts from time to time. It's not exactly an anonymous warez forum.
