I searched the forums and read the man, but still have a question about the storyzone. I understand how to put the zone in and what files to replace..what I want to do is have the player walk up to something and then have an image file display instead of a movie. I read there was a bug with the storyzone that this would not work and was wondering if it was fixed and I was just doing something wrong. I made the file into an avi file, but it was huge for a 1 frame movie.

I created the image file in Photoshop, saved it as a bmp. Do I need to save it as something else for it to work?

TIA

jpg works fine. Just put it in the same folder as the vids.

The forum provides a means to hide our true identity. Too bad we always screw up and let it be seen.

Rats, it didn't work

Also, when I plugged in a video, it only flashed on the screen for a sec instead of freezing the game and waiting for me to hit a key to resume.

yea I thought so too. I even did the 'repair' with the software to see if that fixed it, but it didn't. This is gonna stink if I can't add story lines to the game. :/

Please, is there anyone who can help me with this. I really need to have the cut scene stay until folks hit a key..makes it hard to read things if they can't.

I've tried reinstalling the software
Repairing.

You say you use a 1-frame avi file for a cutscene? Could it be that because the avi is not looping, it flashes up with the single frame then goes back to the game? Why not try looping the frame about 30 times so the user has time to read it before it cuts off back to the game?

Im new to FSPC by the way so im not sure if this will work or not??
