I was surfing the net and came across this screenshot from HalfLife 2 showing a stick figure character. Although it its very simple, the stick figure would probably have a very low poly count which is useful for a fast paced stick figure shooting game. I know everyone is either going to say...

Quote: "Make it your self!"

Quote: "No one will make characters for free..."

But I don't care. I have no experience in character modeling or any kind of animation, but I would kill to have someone make somthing like this rigged with the normal FPSC skeleton.

I tell ya what man...this is a great way to start learning. If you can get this modeled( and I don't mean by someone else. You gotta do it and write a tutorial for the people that like you can't model a stick person) I'll rig it for you. Send me the model and texture and I'll put it together for ya.

But you say I don't model, well nows the time to jump on the blender/anim8tor band wagon. You've been since January man. No time like the present to begin to learn something anyone can make. I'll meet you half way but that's the best deal I'm going to do. I know I could make this in less then a minute but that's not the point.

You writing out this little tutorial is not only your payment for getting this rigged, but an exercise you wont soon forget. Don't like the class room approach to getting some work done? Then don't take the offer.....It's no skin off my nose one way or another.

Once you model a thing or two you ought to be able to make a stick figure.
It's just a sphere for the head and a few cylinders.
Locrian is offering you a heck of a deal.
I would take him up on it.

Butter, my answers always depend on the poster. I don't start off with my patten pending sarcasim and distain for their very being. Zeppelin 37BDF has been around since Jan, and haven't seem him post 100000 threads asking for models or how you open FPSC. The way I post rest solely on the individual.

Plus I'm always trying to think of new ways to get people to stop asking for free work and try stuff on their own. Even I get tired of slamming some of these guys, but sadly, this seems the most effective way of making them think before they hit post.

Darth Vad3r, you owe me 5 bucks because I did come back. I was just busy making the model. I will post it later when I am not busy.

Ok heres a zip with the model and the texture. Thanks a lot Locrian for making this animated. I don't know if you want them, but I can send you a texture pack that I am working on to use in your FPSC game. I was planning on selling it, but you can have it free as a gift if you want. Thanks again.

OK,
All though I can come across brash at times I am, non the less, a man of my word. Though I've got to say far be it from me to judge anyone's content, with me modeling strippers and the like for my game, I must say this is the oddest I've ever rigged in my time working in the 3d medium.

Below we see in the first image StickMan walking a way point like no ones business. In the following image we see a pair of stick man guards. One brandishing a nasty vickers and the other holding what I've been lead to believe is the StickMan weapon of choice do to its slim lines and lite weight, the mp90.

Now all that remains is for me to see that tutorial you composed on how this was so excellently modeled.

That's rad. I love stick people. I thought the tommygun Zeppelin started was quite good but this is just plain awesome.

(Loc- check your email. I also posted some more ref for you on eai forums).

KK, good job man. It's sent. Let me know in this thread if you have any problems. As you can imagine my testing was about as far as putting it in a game and taking screen shots ater rigging, but how bad can a stick man deform.
