After being away for so long, I return to the forum with screenies of my new gun. It is a pretty straightforwad XM8. any comments would be greatly appriciated.

Whoops!! Ok I'll fix that. It isn't actually that boxy the renders are just at bad angles, but I looked at the screenies and from them I totally agree. I'll post a better pic soon.

That seems to be an awfully compact version of the XM8

that looks kinda like a cardboard cut-out, try smoothing out the edges, other than that, it looks pretty good!

OK I know that it looks chunky. I even think that sometimes, but I SWEAR it is sommother than it looks, it just looks chunky. If you could just play with it it would look better. Anyway I have tried a few more shots mabye they will work.

Why the heck would you think of posting a front view? Its kind of a bad angle for an untextured gun.

Good job on the gun.

You might want to thin out your trigger, I'm pretty sure they aren't the same width as the rest of the gun - same with the trigger guard.

OK I fixed the trigger guard, and its not a weird clip its 2 clips clamped together for fast reloads, like in Killzone. This is a bottom view that shows the clip clamp and the thinner trigger guard

Yea alot of people havent. The benefit is you dont have to fish for a clip you just flip the clamp and shove one in.

Thats an apocalypse clip. just tape them together or use the jig that was made for that particular clip. most of the time the clip in the gun and the clip strapped to the side are opposite one another. meaning one up and one down and definently tappered instead of dead even.

The magazines are semi OK as-is. XM8 uses HK G-36 style magazines which have fasteners molded into the mag body. They sit side-by-side and level, both facing upwards. They should be facing the same direction and taller though.
